Little Blessings Pet Rescue

Dog rescue in Seattle, WA

Little Blessings Pet Rescue a small organization with a mission to save at risk animals from euthanasia. The shelters we rescue from are in Southern CA and have a 60% rate of euthanasia. It is hard to make it out alive. We believe giving a shelter dog 1-3 days to be adopted is wrong and we want to do something to help. We are all volunteer and work without profit. We network, rescue, foster and help find our rescued animals permanent and happy homes.

Rescue FAQs

We are a networking, rescuing and adoption organization that has a mission to save at risk shelter and abandoned animals. We rescue from predominately high kill shelters in Southern California saving animals from euthanasia. We do not have a shelter, but a system of fostering and adoption.

Additional adoption info

After our dogs are completely vetted and healthy, we start the adoption process. There is an application process that includes an application. We are looking for responsible, caring people to adopt our dogs, so a reference from a vet is required or an account set up for the animal's care. If there are other dogs involved, we meet in a neutral space first. If all goes well, we do an in home interview to see if the environment is safe and the dog fits in well. There is an adoption contract that states they agree to not sell, or abandon to a shelter, or euthanize (without a recommendation from a licensed veterinarian). They must agree to return the dog if they can no longer care for it. We have a follow-up appointment to ensure success two weeks later. We just ask that an adopter pay the actual rescue fees. We are happy to provide receipts to show our costs. The fee then pays for the rescue of another dog.
