The ASH Rescue is a group of concerned Central Albertains dedicated to helping and improving the lives of abused, abandoned and homeless dogs. We save them from the pounds, take on owner surrenders and stray (homeless) dogs who have no place to go. We believe that every dog, young or old, deserves a chance to have a loving home to call their own. We will provide each and every animal with all of its needs, all vet care including spay/ neutering (at appropriate age), then teach basic training to help them be prepared for the forever homes we have selected to care for them. We see it as very important to train them to help ensure that once they do get placed, chances are even better that they will stay!
The ASH Rescue started with a dream and with that dream came a vision. Please, open your hearts and your minds as I explain my vision.....
As the great phoenix nears the end of a life cycle, it is slow, not very happy or may not even be full of much life, an event happens and in an explosion of fire, it is turned to ASH! It is not over there though, for up, out of the ashes rises a new phoenix One that is full of life, energy and excited about life and all it has to offer.
We view the dogs that are saved from all sorts of situations, beat down, misunderstood and sometimes even close to physical death much like the great Phoenix. But because someone took notice, made a commitment to that dog and became that explosion of change, giving them a second chance at a better, fuller and happier life...... gave it a chance to be reborn, to start life over again!!

ASH Rescue is an Alberta based rescue that services Alberta but is willing to transfer a dog to BC & Saskatchewan, granted there is no population issue with plenty of puppies and dogs needing homes in that particular area. We do not export our rescued friends out of Canada.
Additional adoption info
** Please note that our adoptions are based off of each individual dog and their personal needs, matching them with the best suited applicant**
First step in ASH Rescue's adoption process is to complete and submit our adoption application form. Once we have received it, we will call the applicant to talk about the application and the dog they are applying to adopt. We finish processing the application by contacting the 4 references that are provided with our questionnaire. Based on the both the application and the reference check, we will decide whether a meet and greet with everyone living in the household, current dogs included. We will do a home check to ensure that it is a suitable environment. If all goes well, we proceed with finalizing the adoption. We have an adoption contract that clearly covers what we expect from our adopters and if for any reason, the animal is returned to ASH Rescue's care if the adopter can not continue caring for it. We are committed to our rescued friends for life.
Our adoption fee is $300, all of our rescued friends come with age appropriate vaccinations, spay or neutered (6 months +) and have been taught basic training. We want to help set them up for success in their adoptive homes and feel this is a key part of that.
Once the adoption fee has been paid, you are ready to start your life with your new companion!!
Please know that we are completely volunteer operated and we strive to be as quick and time efficient as possible. We do have families, jobs and other responsibilities as well as helping these rescued puppies & dogs. Please be patient with us! Thank you.
