Bring Home the Brindle Dog Rescue

Dog rescue in Ijamsville, MD

Our rescue saves brindle colored dogs from high kill shelters in the south, where hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and puppies are euthanized DAILY. We have the dogs vetted, altered if old enough, and socialized, and then they will be available for adoption to loving homes. We specialize in rescuing brindles of all breeds, but with an emphasis on Mountain Curs, Plott Hounds, and Dutch Shepherds. We also have non-brindles for adoption; these were dogs that were so special and so sweet that we made an exception to our "brindle only" rule!

Rescue FAQs

We are located in Maryland, but will work with out of state adoptions if we feel it is a good fit for the dog. However, the applicant must be willing to come to Maryland to meet the dog.

Additional adoption info

Our dogs are spayed/neutered before being adopted, unless the dog is too young. Then a deposit is collected, to be returned with proof of sterilization.
We require a vet reference and if renting, proof that dogs are allowed.
We reserve the right to refuse to adopt to anyone, for whatever reason.
Adoption fees are $250 for puppies and $200 for adults.
