We are a local non-profit rescue in Shreveport-Bossier dedicated to improving the lives of homeless and unwanted cats by providing shelter and medical care while finding loving and responsible homes. SBAR was founded in 2013.

Our goals are to work on ending feline overpopulation in this area and reduce euthanasia at the local kill shelters, while educating the public on responsible pet ownership.

We are run by volunteers and funded by donors.

Additional adoption info

An application is required. All cat adoption fees are $75. Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue does not do same day adoptions.

Applications may be turned in via email info@shreveportbossieranimalrescue.org or by private messaging our facebook page.

Adoption Requirements:
-You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt.
-Veterinarian check
-If you have a landlord, we will check your buildings policies on pet ownership.
-Adopter must be willing to allow an SBAR representative to make an adoption follow up, either in person or by telephone.

If at any time, you are unable to keep the pet, or unable to provide it with proper care, you must contact SBAR first.

Adoption fee is $75.

Adoption fee includes:
-Vet Evaluation
-Flea Treatment
-Deworming
-Spay/Neuter (based on age)
-Appropriate Vaccinations (based on age)
-FIV/Felv/Heartworm Testing (based on age)
-Microchip
-Lifetime of love
