We are a group committed to the rescue and adoption of companion birds.
The rescue is owned by the Greater Chicago Cage Bird Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes public education about pet birds and the placement of surrendered birds in qualified new homes.
This shelter doesn’t have any adoptable pets right now – check out adoptable pets nearby or start a custom pet search below.
We adopt in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs within an hour or two drive. We often require multiple visits before an adoption can be approved
We do NOT ship birds. Some birds may not be eligible for out-of-state adoptions due to Federal Regulations.
Additional adoption info
Must complete a application and be approved by adoption committee. Must have a Vet reference. Must be able to show that you can handle the bird. Fees vary on size and age of bird.
