Yale Road Adoptables is located in Greenwood Township, Michigan and specializes in rats and degus for adoption, but you may find others needing homes here as well. My own personal search for adoptable pocket pets led me to the discovery of so many more in need, and Yale Road was established in order to help as much as possible with the effort to find these little ones caring, loving homes. I am not a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; this is me, at my place, doing what I can for those who need it.
Unless an animal has had surgery while in my care, there are no adoption fees requested and no contracts are ever required; however, I will have some questions about a potential adopter’s plans for habitat, diet, vet care, etc. Donations are gratefully accepted and very much appreciated, but never demanded. Profits from sales on the web site go strictly to the care of the animals here, both those available for adoption and those who will be here with me for life due to health and/or behavioral issues.
No animals are bred here. Ever. So, this is not a place to search out babies. I have taken in rats and mice who have turned out to be expecting and may take a mother with a litter, but that is the only time you will find baby animals looking for homes from Yale Road.
Any animal adopted from Yale Road is welcome back. At any time, for any reason; health, behavior or circumstance.
