It all began with a tiny Siamese rat named Java, and ever since we have been taking in rats in need and finding them their own forever homes. We believe EVERY rat is worth rescuing, and we know that miracles do happen! JOIN US in our mission to rescue and hope that one day -- we won't have to!

Rescue FAQs

We serve Washington State and Oregon areas, and are more than willing to form adoption trains elsewhere.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in adopting! In order to adopt, you must have thoroughly research rat ownership and have thorough understanding of Mycoplasma in rats, respiratory infections and their treatment, and the general care of rats (including their need for companions and research on how to introduce rats). You must also have a veterinarian in mind to see if heath issues are to occur. This vet must be an exotic vet or a vet with experience and expertise in treating rodents. You must complete our Adoption Application and agree to the requirements of our Adoption Contract.
Feel free to ask any questions concerning care of rats and adoption, we are happy to help.
$15 adoption fee for an intact (always same sex) pair.
$10 for a single rat - MUST be adopted to a person with other (same sex) rats at home that according to the adopter's discretion WILL accept another cage mate and if the introductions prove otherwise the rat may ALWAYS be returned.
$80 for a spayed female or neutered male.
-- This donation is put directly back into the rescue.
