Rescue FAQs

We are dedicated to saving dachshunds in shelters, owner surrenders, puppy mill throwaways, strays, etc... We provide safe, loving foster homes and proper vet care until a furever home is found. We serve in the Greater Omaha, Nebraska and Lincoln, Nebraska areas with chapters located in Des Moines, Iowa and in Kansas. We have completed adoptions as far away as Denver and Minnesota.

There is a $250.00 adoption fee for most dogs and the completion of the application begins the process of reference checks and your home visit. There is a contract requirement which notes that if you ever decide to not house your pet any longer you will contact and turn the back into us.
