Grassroots Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue that works to rescue dogs in need in North Mississippi by rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing dogs that have been overlooked in shelters or are in danger of being euthanized. We also work to rescue dogs from local communities in need.
Grassroots Animal Rescue of Mississippi, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit organziation. GAR is also a recognized as a non-profit in good standing in by the State of Mississippi. All of your contributions are tax-deductible.

Grassroots is a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter; instead all of our animals are in foster homes. We serve mostly North and Central Mississippi.

If you are interested in one of our animals, you can email us at grassrootsanimalrescue@gmail.com with any questions. You can also complete our preliminary application at www.tiny.cc/garapp. Once your application is processed, an adoption coordinator will contact you via email to set up a meeting with the animal(s) you are interested in. All of our meetings take place in Starkville, MS.

**All Grassroots Animal Rescue animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and current on flea and heartworm prevention before adoption. All adopters are offered 30 days of complimentary emergency pet insurance through our microchip partner, 24PetWatch.**
