Franklin County Animal Shelter's Mission is to promote responsible pet ownership by increasing awareness of sterilization to help reduce population of unwanted and uncared for animals. Doing this will result in a lower euthanasia rate of animals. To provide shelter for stray, unwanted or homeless animals and to maintain a vigorous adoption program to residents in Franklin County and
surrounding Counties.

Dog and Cat adoptions are $25.00 and require pet sterilization within 30 days for all pets 6 months and older.
The Shelter has a program to help with spay/neuter costs.
