Rescue FAQs

Hands That Heal RI (HTHRI) is a volunteer, 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for veterinary care and pet food to low-income families, senior citizens and homeless pet owners. By providing low-cost veterinary care and free pet food, HTHRI improves the health and well-being of pet owners and the animals in their lives. We also re-home pets in order to prevent them from going into a shelter.
Throughout the state of RI and some of MA.

Additional adoption info

We require that all potential adopters fill out an adoption application which asks about current and past pets, vet references and renters get approval from their landlord.
