The Auglaize County Humane Society was founded in 1974. In recent years, we have partnered with rescue groups and shelters from surrounding counties to make more pets available for adoption. We take in pets from other counties as well. Pets adopted from our facility have gone all over the United States and to Canada with the help of websites such as this. However, we are unable to transport due to limited staff and funding.
Additional adoption info
Adoption fees range from $100.00-250.00 for dogs and $30.00-50.00 for cats. All adoptions include vaccines, deworming, and spay/neuter surgery. All pets are spayed or neutered before going to their new home. No exceptions! Adoption application must be filled out and approved. Adopter must sign adoption contract and confirmation forms.Once approved, the adoption process/paperwork takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. We encourage adopters to visit our facility to meet pets they are interested in adopting if possible.
