The Nevada Animal Shelter serves the city of Nevada, Missouri in regulating, providing information, and bringing lost pets to new homes, or to existing owners.

For Dogs or Cats:
To adopt one of our dogs or cats, you must be present at the shelter, fill out a short application and information form, and pay the appropriate adoption fees stated below:
For Dogs:
$10 Adoption fee.
$20 Spay/Neuter deposit.
For Cats:
$5 Adoption fee.
$20 Spay/Neuter deposit.
To redeem the spay/neuter deposit you must provide the animal shelters proper receipt and a form from the vet that states the animal has been spayed/neutered.
You take this paperwork to the Nevada Police Department, and when the city cuts a check like twice a month, they will send you that $20 back in the mail.
