The mandate of Tapa Cat Rescue Society is to deal with stray and feral cats. We are not able to take in people's pets as we have a waiting list of cats and kittens living on the streets who desperately need our help. As funds allow, adult ferals who cannot be socialized are spayed/ neutered and returned to where they live. We make every attempt to have a shelter on the property for the cat and to have a caretaker in place who will feed and monitor the cat on a daily basis. Feral kittens are removed from their colony once they are old enough to eat on their own, and are then vetted and put up for adoption when old enough.

Additional adoption info
Adopter fills out an adoption application, and if approved, a contract is signed at the time of adoption. Our adoption fee is $175 to $200 which includes a combo test (FeLV and FIV), initial exam and vaccine plus flea and parasite treatment. If not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a certificate is issued at the time of adoption, plus they get microchipped!
