BARK is a Non-Profit, No Kill, All Volunteer Animal Rescue Organization whose purpose is to address the problem of over population of companion animals in Pima County in two ways: *Provide foster home care and adoption services primarily for pregnant and nursing mothers and young animals. *Promote education and provide low cost spay/neuter subsidy to the public to prevent the birth of so many unwanted pets.
We are a small group of dedicated volunteers and foster families helping find dogs and cats forever homes in the Tucson community. All of our animals are housed in foster homes with other animals, so we've had a chance to see them in a "family" environment and interacting with other animals.
BARK is focused mainly on young rescues. Community animal control facilities often do not have the resources to take care of pregnant animals or mothers with young puppies or kittens. For this reason, they are euthanized. We take these pregnant mothers and young animals into foster homes and provide the care they need until they are old enough for adoption into their forever homes.
We are always looking for new VOLUNTEERS to help at our adoption site. We are also looking for foster homes. If you can help in either of these areas, please stop by our PETCO adoption site on Saturday and we can answer any questions you have and give you an application form. We provide training for all foster families and adoption counselors/teen volunteers. Thank you in advance.

Baby Animal Rescue Koalition, has been operating for over a decade in Tucson, AZ. BARK focuses primary on canines from Pima Animal Care Center.
All of our puppies and dogs are altered (spayed/neutered),vaccinated, microchipped, rabies if over 4 months old, and fostered in our homes until wonderful people in the community step forward to make their fosters into forevers!
Please be aware that without knowing family trees and oftentimes not knowing either parent dog, all breed descriptions are speculation from staff of BARK and PACC.
BARK intends for each of our adoptions to be the beginning of a lifelong relationship. We ask for only the attention of responsible, committed, mature individuals.
