Clover Cat Rescue is a cat rescue organization based in Patrick County, VA.
The namesake of the group, Clover, is a wonderful cat owned by the rescue’s founder, Tanja Schoor. Clover was found as a starving kitten at 4-H camp, she was shy and in poor health, but rebounded in the months to come and turned into a beautiful, loving cat that continues to win over everybody’s hearts.
Clover’s rescue is testament to what a difference we can make in the life of an animal. It’s the kind of difference that Clover Cat Rescue makes for countless cats and kittens in the Patrick County area who would have no chance otherwise. We can’t save all homeless and unwanted cats, but we are making a difference to each and every single animal that is taken into the shelter and loved and cared for until a permanent home is found.
Clover Cat Rescue saves cats from euthanasia at the local pound and rescues them out of other equally desperate situations. We take in unwanted animals from owners, and litters of kittens that stray females bring along as a surprise gift. Sometimes an owner passes away or moves into a retirement home and the companion kitty is left homeless; we try to help in these situations as well.
In addition to finding permanent homes for cats, Clover Cat Rescue places a strong emphasis on spay/neuter education & community action programs, such as spay sponsorships. We also help control feral cat populations and schedule transports to low-cost spay/neuter clinics in the area.
Please consider a donation or spay sponsorship. Please also consider adopting one of our cats if you have room in your heart and home.

Additional adoption info
Our adoption fees range from $40 - $95. We ask you to fill out an adoption application prior to your visit. The application will be processed within 48 hours. Once approved you will be free to come and visit with the cats and select the right one for you, or if your heart already belongs to a specific kitty, we can also meet you somewhere if it is convenient.
All our cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, wormed and flea treated at time of adoption. The medical papers along with a full history are part of the adoption contract.
We give a 2-week trial period to make sure things are working out for you and the cat. Please give the cat the full time to settle in!
