We are a small group of volunteers who love dogs. Each of us has multiple dogs of our own, and we have all lived with dogs for years. We do this for the dogs. Plain and simple. Our motto is: Dogs for Life!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fees apply in order to cover the cost of pulling our dogs from high-kill southern shelters and obtain veterinary care for them down south. Before they come to Vermont they are spayed/neutered, get all their vaccines, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Fecal exam and worming too. We also give them the canine influenza vaccine. Upon arrival in Vermont dogs are taken immediately to our veterinarian who gives them a thorough examination, updates vaccines if necessary, and treats them for any other health issues that may have developed while in transit. They board at his office for at least a few days until he gives them a health clearance. Your adoption fee covers all of this care, as well as the cost of the health certificate required for travel, and the transport comapny charge to bring them to Vermont.
We require personal references from non-relatives, as well as your permission to contact your veterinarian to determine that any animals you own/have owned have been kept up to date with vaccines and routine care. Our adoption contract further gives us the right to check with your veterinarian in the future to insure that the dog you adopt is being given appropriate veterinary care.
