East Side Animal Hospital

Animal rescue in Evansville, IN

We are an animal hospital and have the great opportunity to have our own orphanage to adopt out some of our clients' pets that no longer can care for their pets, find strays, owners' pass away, etc. We provide preventative care to all types of small animals from reptiles, rabbits, birds, cats and dogs. Our staff is highly committed to the best care for your pets and our orphanage pets.

Additional adoption info

We perform background checks on previously owned pets with your past/current veterinarian, adoption agreement is signed, pet either stays with us to have surgery performed or if already spayed/neutered and all other services are complete can go home the day of adoption.

Adoption fee is $150.00 and this includes all up to date vaccinations, blood work, prevention, spay/neuter, and on cats a front declaw if you choose.

No animal can be reserved unless adoption fee is paid for.

Two weeks after the adoption and the pet has gone home we do a follow-up phone call to see how the pet is adjusting to it's new home.

In the adoption agreement it states that the new owner will keep all recommended vaccinations up to date, keep inside, on prevention and if for any reason the home doesn't work out for the pet to bring back to our facility. We want the BEST possible home for our orphanage pets, and we get pretty attached to them since some of them have longer stays.

Our interest is solely with the animal and if we do not feel comfortable or have any doubts we aren't at liberty to go any further with the adoption process.
