Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender

Animal rescue in Baton Rouge, LA

Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender works with the public to offer them assistance to help them keep their pets instead of surrendering them to the shelter. We network with animal behaviorists and provide low cost medical options. If the owner cannot keep their pet, we ask them to "foster" their pet instead of surrendering him or her to the shelter, while we search for a new forever home with ad placements. All responses are directed to our email address or hotline number, the owners contact information is not divulged in our rehoming ads. We require pets be up to date on vaccinations and spayed or neutered before being rehomed and require proof of same. If the pet is not up to date on vaccinations or spayed or neutered, we assist them in having this done. The owner has the final decision on who their pets new family will be. We charge a rehoming fee.
