ARRF is a very small group of volunteers who have taken on the monumental task of finding forever homes for the enormous number of homeless, stray dogs in Washington County. Before ARRF, the city of Leland euthanized dogs by shooting them. No adoption policies were in place. ARRF has finally given these forgotten animals a ray of hope for a better life.

Additional adoption info
We currently are working with other rescue groups who help us adopt our dogs outside of the state of Mississippi. If a dog is adopted locally (within 50 miles of Leland, MS), an adoption application is required along with a copy of a valid driver's license. Personal references and veterinarian references are checked. If approved, then the adopter may take ownership of the dog upon paying $150 adoption fee. Follow up visits/contact is done at 1 week, 30 days, and 6 months. Only dogs who are spayed/neutered, have received all vaccines, negative on fecal are eligible for adoption.
