Friends of Plumas County Animals is a non profit 501(c)3 organization We are dedicated to improving the lives of the animals who come into our rescue and to reducing the number of unwanted/homeless animals through spay and neuter programs. When we volunteered at the local county shelter we built outdoor enclosures and play yards for the dogs and cats. Currently, Friends takes animals into our own rescue site where we spay and neuter animals who are above 4 months old and then re-home the animals. When we have the available monies we also help those in need of financial assistance spay and neuter their personal pets. Our adoptable animals are offered with no adoption fee to approved homes, and we survive on the generous donations of our adopters and supporters.

Friends of Plumas County Animals serves animals in Plumas County, including the towns of Chester, Greenville, Quincy and Portola. Our animals have been adopted by many people out of county though and new homes in Reno, Chico and beyond are not unusual.
