Donation Since ALL of our funding is from donations (we are not supported by a government agency), fundraising and a few spay/neuter grants, we always need monetary donations and food and supply donations including straw and bedding material. With winter coming we could really use some more dog houses and tarps (used is welcome). Used crates are also always needed. Pick up can be arranged within a reasonable distance. Thank you for your support.

Rescue FAQs

Hickman Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1996 that exists to meet the needs of unwanted, abandoned and abused or neglected animals in Hickman County, Tennessee. We are a group of volunteers whose mission is to rescue and save these forgotten animals. We are a shelterless society, all our animals are in private foster homes. We are funded by donation, grants, and adoptions. Our county has no animal control for help with the vast number of strays and drop offs that we have. Our goal is that one day there will be no more homeless pets.
