Dog rescue in Admin: The Woodlands, TX

IDOG Rescue is a group of labradoodle and goldendoodle owners who love our dogs so much that we want to help any doodles that find themselves in need of a new home.

We are grateful to the generous people who donate to our organization and enable us to take in dogs who may be sick or need extra care before going to their new homes.

Rescue FAQs

IDOG Rescue is a program of the International Doodle Owners Group, Inc. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue for Labradoodles and Goldendoodles and have been rescuing doodles since 2006.
We are FOSTER based - we do not have a shelter.
As well as rescuing doodles from shelters, IDOG also accepts owner surrenders and has an assisted rehome program for owners who can keep their dogs with them until a new home is found.
IDOG has foster homes throughout the USA and Canada

Additional adoption info

To adopt one of our dogs, you must first complete an online application and telephone interview. A home visit may be required and we do check all references. You must live within reasonable distance of the dog you wish to apply for.

IDOG Rescue prefers adopters to have a physical fence for safety reasons, but will consider unfenced homes with satisfactory assurance that the dog will be safely managed without the use of shock devices.

Dogs must be kept as inside members of the family.
We do not ship dogs unless that option is stated in the dog's listing.

Adoption fees are based on the age and sex of the dog and range from $100 to $475. All adoption fees go into our Rescue Fund from which we pay vet care and other expenses. All of our dogs are fully vetted, de-sexed, heartworm tested and microchipped.
