PAUSE FOR PAWS uses foster homes and boards pets at a veterinarian clinic . Pause for Paws tries to help as many pets as possible even if we don't have a shelter to house them. When a homeless dog or cat finds us, we take it to our veterinarian clinic and board it. Meanwhile, Man & Beast is called, an ad is placed in the newspaper and signs are put up around the neighborhood. If the family is not found, the pet's vaccines are updated, micro chipped and finally it is spayed or neutered. The goal of all these efforts is to find this pet a wonderful home where it will be loved. Each animal we help keeps one out of the city's animal control facility. Our adoption fee for dogs is usually $125-$150. Our pets are in excellent health and the dogs are on heartworm preventative. They have been given lots of love and we want for them to have the best of homes.
