Dogs enter the program from a wide variety of situations. They may be the products of broken homes, surrendered due to neglect, or dropped off at shelters where they have little chance of being adopted prior to being euthanized. The organization’s territory includes the eastern half of North Carolina from the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), north to Virginia, south to South Carolina and east to the Atlantic coast.
