Paws and Claws Adoption Center serves Platte County, Colfax County, the cities of Columbus and Schuyler, NE. On occasion and when we have room, we accept animals from the immediate surrounding counties of Butler, and Polk.
We opened our doors January 1, 2008 and have been helping animals every day since then.
Additional adoption info
Before an animal is adopted, we do require the potential adopter fill out an adoption application which is reviewed and approved. Depending on where the animal is going to live, there may be a couple of other forms required.
Adoption fees:
Spayed/Neutered dogs $150
Intact dogs $75 + $40 spay/neuter deposit
Spayed/Neutered cats $110
Intact cats $50 + $40 spay/neuter & rabies deposit.
The deposits are mandatory, but the adopter can have it refunded after the necessary procedures are completed.
