Dogs Deserve Better is a chained dog and penned dog education, legislation and rescue 501c3 nonprofit organization. We are based in Pennsylvania, but have representatives located across the United States.
DDB is working to change laws and educate the public about the physical, psychological and community consequences of chaining or penning your dog. Dogs are social, pack animals that want to be part of the family.
Although our priority is chained/penned dogs, Illinois outreach includes many other desperate situations dogs find themselves in from no fault of their own. Our focus is on education, community outreach, rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and networking to save lives! We do not have a shelter facility, so we operate on the kindness of those in the community that help by providing a safe, loving foster home for the dogs in our program until their forever home is found.
