Zoe's Friends Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily small dogs, from high-kill shelters, rehabilitating, and placing those animals in loving, caring, lifelong homes and raising the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need.

Rescue FAQs

Please note that our adoption process requires a home check We can only adopt to homes within our immediate area which includes Ventura County areas of Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo, Oxnard and Ventura and also Western Los Angeles County including Agoura, Calabasas, Woodland Hills. If you live outside these areas we may or may not be able to accomodate a home check. Please contact us for further information!

Additional adoption info

Our Adoption Donation is $225 and is tax deductible if allowed by law. Potential Adoptees fill out an Adoption Application to determine elegibility for the dog that they wish to adopt. Then, they fill out an Adoption Agreement and a Petco Adoption contract (they receive a coupon booklet) and we conduct a home check to make sure their home is safe for their new dog. If everything is in order, they can adopt their wonderful doggy!
