HALO Havanese Rescue

Dog rescue in Manteno, IL

HALO, Havanese Angel League Organization was founded in the year 2001, by a small dedicated group of people determined to rescue Havanese in need. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit group. All monies donated to HALO go directly to the care of our Havanese. HALO relies on volunteers, donations and adoption fees to support itself.
Our rescues come from puppymills and a few owner surrenders. We will take in the old, the special needs and the young. Although our main goal is to get the breeding dogs out of the mills, we will take puppies. All our rescues are placed in approved foster homes where they will receive Veterinary care, good food and lots of love until an approved home is found.

If the pup is under six months of age, we will require a $150 spay/neuter deposit that will be refunded when the procedure is completed within a stated period of time. The remainder of the adoption fee, if any, is used to help rescue other Havanese in need. You can be confident that 100% of our fees go toward the rescue efforts of our Havanese!
