Rescue FAQs

Saving Great Animals is a match-making rescue. All of our dogs are in foster homes and we work with you to help you find your best match. All of our dogs are vaccinated, chipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. All applicants have the opportunity to do a two-week trial adoption to ensure the dog is the right match for you. We are passionate about our work and transparent with you so that you find the dog that will be the love of your life.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Please submit an application via our website for the dog you are interested in.
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. Once we receive your application we will arrange a meet and greet for you with the dog in their foster home.
  3. Take the Pet Home
    1. After the meet and greet, if all goes well, we offer a two week trial adoption to ensure the dog is indeed a good match for you.

Additional adoption info

All applicants have a two-week trial adoption period. If the trial adoption is successful, a final adoption contract is signed.
