Second Chance Wildlife Rescue (SCWR) is organized for two primary purposes. First, through a staff of dedicated and trained volunteers, to provide charitable domestic animal rescue and rehabilitation services to Suffolk and Nassau counties and when necessary, the five boroughs of New York City . Second, to provide information and professional guideance with regard to placement of abandoned, abused, or neglected domestic pets in permanent families in addition to educating citizens how to pick a suitable companion/family pet.
