Pets receive a seven to fourteen day health watch during which they are temperament tested and personality profiled. They also receive an immunization vaccination, deworming treatment, parasite preventative, other vet care if required, spay/neuter and micro-chip before being able to leave the shelter.
Some pets are fostered in private homes, most reside at the shelter.
Adoption fees are not for the pet, they are to assist in some of the cost of providing care for the pets.
