We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in McDermott, Ohio. The main focus of Wild Horse Rescue, Inc. is to rescue Mustangs from various situations. We also rescue abused, neglected, unmanageable, and unwanted horses of all types and breeds. Then, we focus on how to best gentle, rehabilitate, & train them so that the rescued horses can move on and be adopted into loving homes to live their lives forever. We hope to never have to turn away a horse needing help due to our inability to pay for their necessary treatment or rehabilitation costs. One of our main goals is to be able to to have a rehabilitation arena for horses so that we can continue training and guiding these horses in the right direction year round. We would like to be able to have soldiers coming home from war and all disabled/handicapped people to come out and share in the love these horses can provide. We believe they can heal a persons' heart and soul from the inside. We are also here to educate horse owners about proper care for their horses.

Additional adoption info
Step 1: Read, Sign, and Return the Adoption Application listing the horses which you are interested in. The adoption application allows us to get a general idea of your experience with horses, information to contact references, and where you will be housing the horse. If your desire is to foster a horse you will also complete the Application so we can obtain all of the information required for foster.
Step 2: We will review your application, check your references, and obtain additional information about your property/location where the horse will be kept. At this time we will invite you out to the farm to meet with the horse you are interested in (if you haven't already). It is our ultimate goal to ensure that you and the horse bond well and that you will be happy with your decision about providing a loving forever home for the horse.
Step 3: Once your application is approved, we will provide you with an Adoption Contract or Foster Agreement for the horse you wish to adopt or foster and you must sign to acknowledge that you understand the terms of adopting/fostering a horse from Wild Horse Rescue, Inc. For adoptions, will be required to pay the donation required for the horse adoption which is stated in the contract. You can view a sample contract to review the terms by clicking either of the links below.
Step 4: We will arrange for your pick up time of your new equine family member. In certain circumstances, we will deliver the horse for you if you agreed to reimburse our cost of fuel.
