Animal rescue in Danbury, CT

The Downtown Dogs Group is a small rescue dedicated to rescuing and placing those dogs deemed "unadoptable" by most other rescues, for reasons of breed, age, medical problems, or temperament. We are a no-kill rescue and the only circumstance under which we will euthanize a dog or cat is in the case of painful, terminal illness for which there is no treatment, and where the pet's suffering cannot be alleviated by medication. We treat heartworm-positive dogs. We believe all dogs deserve a chance at a good life . . . not just the cute, highly adoptable ones.
