Named in honor of my original "Devil Dog", Ripley, Devil Dog Ranch was initially created as a virtual ranch, in order to increase visibility for the homeless dogs available for adoption at the North Central L.A. city shelter, where I volunteered.

Steps to Adopt from Devil Dog Ranch
First, I want to thank you for considering adoption!
With so many homeless animals available, adoption is one of the best ways to help solve pet over-population.
This process helps me insure that the adopter and desired dog are a good match. I do not adopt on a " first-come, first-served" basis. Each dog is considered as an individual, and I strive to find the best and most appropriate home for each and every dog.
1. Complete and submit an Adoption Questionnaire.
This allows me to learn a bit about a potential adopter and their household. The dogs I rescue live with me, so I get to know them quite well. To request a questionnaire, please email me at: contact@devildogranch.com.
2. Phone Interview
Upon review and approval of your completed questionnaire, I will call you to discuss the adoption and schedule a meeting. Applicants not meeting criteria for adoption will receive an email instead.
3. Meet the Dog
All members of the household must be involved in this important step. Additionally, any resident dog(s) must be present at this meeting to eliminate any unforeseen conflicts. I never adopt animals to be given as gifts or surprises, so please don't ask.
4. Home inspection
I personally conduct a home visit to insure that the dog you are adopting has a safe, escape-proof and comfortable environment. Any and all repairs or alterations to fencing or other aspects of the environment must be completed prior to adoption - no exceptions.
5. Completion of adoption
I deliver all dogs in-person. At this time, we will complete all paperwork, including an adoption agreement. A minimum donation of $200 is requested, although you may give more if you are able.
Devil Dog Ranch is supported entirely by individual donations and receives no corporate or government funding. The cost to rescue, vet, feed, board and place each dog far exceeds the minimum adoption donation.
This donation should not be viewed as payment for an individual dog, as the money goes directly towards the care and placement of other dogs in my care, allowing me to continue my life-saving mission.
