The DCO - Rescue was begun when I took the Dog Control Officers job for my town. We built a kennel to house our dogs and usually keep them for as long as it takes to find them a home. The town pays for the dogs upkeep for 2 weeks and if the owner is not found I then keep the dogs at my own expense and put them up for adoption. This is a labor of love only and the work is taken very seriously. Many people wonder why I go to so much trouble, it's because I LOVE dogs and want to do the best by whatever comes my way. We are a small "shelter" with usually only one or two dogs at a time.

For adoptions we serve anyone that is willing to adopt providing they meet our requirements.
Additional adoption info
The Town of Ohio - DCO Rescue has a adoption application, and an adoption contract that would need to be filled out and signed. Home checks are mandatory. Our fees range from $100 to $300 depending on the cost of the veterinary services for each dog. ONLY the expense of the dog is charged, we make NO money on the adoption of our animals. We are looking to re-home animals to their forever homes, not make money on them.
