We are a 501c3, Non-Profit Corporation that is organized exclusively for the purposes of:
Eliminating the unnecessary deaths of stray kittens, deemed ‘un-adoptable’ by shelters, due to age or illness. We provide for their emotional and medical needs before placing them into qualified permanent homes.
Educating the public on the elimination of unnecessary kitten deaths, with a specific emphasis on surgical alteration; as well as tips for successful, permanent adoptions.
We’re organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as defined under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
My name is Alis Quinn and I’ve been rescuing a wide variety of animals – both companion animals, wildlife, and even reptiles – since I was 9 years old. I have completely freed my schedule over the past six months, in order to pursue my lifelong dream – starting a non-profit rescue organization.
For the past ten years, I have focused my efforts on rehabilitating and tending to orphaned kittens – newborns and toddlers. At just one shelter, I have discovered that more than 500 orphan kittens were put to sleep in 2009, due to the lack of experienced hands providing for their specialized care. My goal is to create a network of experienced, capable, high-quality foster homes to care for these babies. Our goal in short: placing kittens on the path to paradise!
We were incorporated on January 25th 2010, and our 501c3 application, with the IRS, was approved March 16th 2010, retroactive to the date of incorporation.
Currently we are working on applying for grants, fundraising, increasing adoptions, and recruiting foster parents, volunteers, and donors for our network.
Goal:
To own approximately 10-20 acres of property and have about a dozen cottages for fosters to live according to age group of the kittens and cats, until they are able to be spayed/neutered, receive all shots (rabies vaccine at 3 months), and socialized and taught basic living skills.
This helps to ensure permanent placement with their new families and any of their family pets.
