Rescue FAQs
We are the Wharton County Stray Pet Outreach Team (SPOT). We are a foster-based program and we assist and support those who have rescued stray or neglected animals. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, heartworm test and medically treat all the animals that we offer for adoption.
We serve Wharton County, Texas, and the surrounding areas. Wharton is located 60 miles southwest of Houston.
Adoption steps
- Submit Application
- Email help@wcspot.org for an adoption application and information.
- Approve Application
- A volunteer will: (1) contact your veterinary reference and (2) contact several of your personal references.
- Take the Pet Home
- Pending the application review process, a volunteer will call to interview you and then coordinate your adoption day!
