We here at Top Paw Rescue Inc. are a NO KILL RESCUE open since April 2009 saving canines in Broward county and parts of Miami-Dade. We no longer take in felines and we work with other rescues that care for feline friends. We care for animals in need until they are ready to be placed into permanent, loving and forever homes. We do not believe an animal should be put to sleep just because it has anger issues. There are many families out there willing to adopt an animal that has anger issues and turn its life around. Pets are like people and I have yet to hear of a case where a human was "put to sleep" because he / she had a hard life and was always angry. The same goes for animals. They all deserve a chance at life and love!
We have been running this rescue privately for some time but recently decided to go public and rescue larger numbers as well as adopt out larger numbers.... We are working on 501(c)3 but in the meantime bare with us and don't let go. For all those that hang in there with us and have continued donating, thank you so much and you have a special place on our "SPECIAL THANKS" page and in our hearts. Please take a look at who we have and see if anyone is right for you... Thanks
We go to many lengths to make sure that any animal that gets adopted out from us is placed in the appropriate home and not in a home that fits harmful or dangerous situations. We have forms and contracts that we follow through and we make home visits for a few weeks afterwards to make sure the adoption was the right choice. We also help you find an animal if you have a certain breed or type in mind, certain needs to be met (must be lazy, must be energetic).
Our main reasoning for doing this is not for our benefit but for the benefit of the animals that might end up in a shelter without a home to go to, with out a sunny window to sleep in, without a loving hand to pet them each morning and before they go to bed. Many animals die in shelters each year with never knowing what love was. I hope to change that at least for the animals I happen to come in contact with.
Please note all money that gets donated is not for profit and is strictly used for the food, medications, and all treatments for the well beings of the animals under our care while with us.
