We have been a branch of the NS SPCA since 2005, run entirely by volunteers. We are foster-based, situated in the municipality of Clare, between Digby and Yarmouth, in southwestern Nova Scotia. Finding homes for the many rescued or surrendered cats is ongoing with our branch. Educating the public on importance of neutering/spaying animals is a top priority. We follow the main branch guidelines of the NS SPCA.
Create an alert, and we'll notify you every time a new pet comes in who meets your criteria.

We are a foster-based branch of the Nova Scotia SPCA situated in the municipality of Clare, between Digby and Yarmouth, in southwestern Nova Scotia. All foster home parents are volunteers. Adopters come from all areas of Nova Scotia and occasionally from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
Additional adoption info
All our adoptable foster cats are vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, received FVRCP core vaccine, treated for parasites and tested for feline leukemia. There is an adoption application process involving filling out 2 forms requesting 2 personal references familiar with your household and pet handling experience as well as permission to request previous vet visit history. After approval a meeting is arranged at a mutually convenient time and date for the applicant and foster home, at which point, the cat maybe adopted. Our cat adoption fee is $200 cash.
