Animal rescue in yonkers, NY

I started rescuing ferrets about 25yrs ago because there was no suitable place for unwanted and stray ferrets. The local animal shelters that would occasionaly take in a ferret were unsure of the correct food and the ferrets basically would not be let out of their cages.
In my shelter every ferret gets "out" time every day which is vital to their well being.

Rescue FAQs

I am located in lower Westchester county and ferrets come from pretty much all over Westchester, the 5 boros of NYC and Long Island.

Additional adoption info

My ferrets have been through enough before they come to me, so I want their next home to be a forever home.
Ferrets are not for everyone. They are an "in your face, high maintainence pet " . The interview starts over the phone and I will try to educate the caller about ferret ownership. If I feel its a suitable home, they come for a visit and possible adoption at that time.
I don't charge a fee but I certainly accept donations as all expenses are out of my own pocket.
