Zena is about 3 years old and is gentle, sweet, silly, playful and smart. She loves people, although is a bit timid with some at first. She loves belly rubs, squeaky toys and catching balls. Zena gets along with most but not all dogs. She has some male bff's and does great with some of the females int he play groups. Zena also has some training under her belt and knows her basic commands and walks nicely on a leash. All of our animals are on borrowed time. Story
Sean is a wonderful bully mix breed. He may have a combination of any or all Mastiff/Boxer/Pit Bull. He is calm and confident and big and strong. Mostly Sean loves to snuggle. He does not do good with cats and may have a bit of a pretty drive so a home without small dogs and other animals would be best. All of our animals are on borrowed time. Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Buddy to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 12-month-old Shepherd/Boxer is our best guess. He is good on a leash, likes car rides, potty trained and good with other dogs. He isn’t a huge shedder and would make a great companion for an active family that wants an active and social dog to join them. He weighs about 50 pounds. He is vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is a moderate to low shedding dog. He is athletic and smart and he already knows sit command. He gets into the truck on his own and he wasn’t reactive today when he met the new dogs. He was abandoned and a family has taken him into their home. She recently lost her husband and now she feels she doesn’t have time to take care of Buddy so she needs to go ahead and get him a new forever home with a younger more vibrant family. He is a wonderful dog and we cannot find a fault in this boy. He likes all people and will be able to go places with you with lots of people as he is extremely friendly. He has been around her grandchildren. He would be great as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Story
Welcome Willy to CCPAL Rescue. Willie is a 4.5 month old 30 pound Border Collie mixed pup. He is proably going to be a 55 to 60 pound adult. He is smart, good in a crate, good in a car and very affectionate. He currently is in foster care of a farm and he gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is not good with free range chickens. He is learning his potty manners and is already neutered and has all vaccines. He is healthy and ready for his forever home. He would be great with someone that loves the breed. He is a mix so doesn’t have all the qualities of the BC but he is smart, attentive and affectionate. He is decent on a leash and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He isn’t as high energy as the pure bred Border Collie but he is a average playful puppy. An active family wanting a nice young companion to join your family would be best. Another playful dog would be good or a large yard for him to play in. He is currently in Texas and can find a local adopter. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Story
Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Ireland to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Lab/Australian Blue Heeler. She is about 5 months old. She weighs about 25 pounds now and should be 35 pounds full grown. We think she will be a medium sized dog full grown. She has a black shiny coat and big beautiful sweet eyes that melt your heart. Ireland is really sweet and her sister is here too. Ireland’s sister is Frenchie. She is good with other dogs of all sizes and not alarmed with strangers. She is learning leash manners, is good in a crate and fine in a car. She should be a great walking companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is absolutely adorable. She lives in a foster home and is getting good attention. She would be fine in a home with moderately active people. She would love her human not to work all day everyday so she can be with her people and finish up her puppy training. She is smart and attentive and will be a fun dog to train. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washinton, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. .
