The Rosebud Society, Inc. was founded to help save and place in permanent homes as many adoptable cats and kittens as possible.
The majority of our cats and kittens are taken from the local shelters at their request. These are animals that would be euthanized were we not to take them. They are the ill, the injured, and those too tiny to survive in a shelter environment to an adoptable age.
It is our goal to find permanent, loving homes for these cats and kittens with individuals committed to providing love and care for the life of the pet.
We frequently receive not only beautiful mixed breed cats and kittens, but purebred cats of many kinds, including Persians, Siamese, Himalayans, American Shorthairs, Burmese etc.
The Rosebud Society has no shelter of its own, and relies instead on a small organized network of foster homes that provide temporary care for injured or sick cats, nursing mothers with litters of kittens, and orphan litters of kittens requiring around the clock nursing care.
All cats in our care are examined by a veterinarian and receive whatever medical care is deemed necessary, whether it is as simple as having a cat's teeth cleaned, or as complex as surgery to repair broken bones or remove tumors.
Every dollar that is given to Rosebud is used for the direct care of our cats and kittens.
We use your donations to purchase food and litter, vaccines, microchips, and many different medications. Your donations pay for veterinary care, such as x-rays, hernia repairs, ultrasounds, tooth extractions, and countless other procedures. In addition we use your dollars to advertise to find good, quality homes for our cats. Unlike some other charitable organizations, we can honestly say every penny goes for the direct care of the animals; we have no "paid volunteers" or paid administrative positions. We are truly all volunteers.
If you are able and would like to help us continue saving lives, please contact us about donating. You donation is fully tax deductible, as we are a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization.
If you would like to help with non cash donations, we can always use food and litter, and other items from time to time, such as scratching posts, beds, etc. We can also use towels and washable blankets that are in good condition. Please contact us if you would like to provide any of these items and we'll tell you what we are currently in need of.
