Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and place animals in need. Since SNAP was formed as a registered charitable organization in 2003 we have successfully rescued and placed more than 1000 cats and dogs. Many of these animals were victims of neglect, abuse and violence, some of whom had special needs and were rejected by other organizations. Our animals come from public shelters, many are strays, others yet are surrendered by owners no longer able to care for them. In addition to educating the public about the responsibility of pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering, we are one of the very few rescue groups who trap and spay or neuter feral cats to try and reduce the unwanted pet population. SNAP does not have a formal shelter or salaried staff to care for our animals, we rely entirely on a small network of hardworking and responsible volunteers and foster homes. We are entirely dependent on the generous financial donations of caring and compassionate people.

Additional adoption info
The cat adoption fee of $170 (or $250 for two cats) helps to offset veterinary costs. Fees for dogs START at $300. All fees are payable in cash only.
SNAP has an application and screening process for all potential adopters to ensure that their cats and dogs go to the right home. This screening process can include home visits both prior to and after the adoption, phone converstations and general follow up. In addition to protecting the animals, this process ensures that you are matched with the perfect pet for your family.
SNAP requires that all cats and kittens adopted must remain indoor pets for their protection. If, for any reason, a pet is not suitable, SNAP will accept a returned pet to ensure that it does not end up as a stray or euthanized.
