Two by Two Rescue began in 2002 when two ladies met and began feeding strays in Old Town Helena, Alabama. The rescue has grown to a 501 C (3) volunteer, no-kill organization. Our goal is to save the lives of abandoned, unwanted, and abused animals, and educate the public about responsible pet care. We care for these rescues in private foster homes. Our animals are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped regardless of breed, age, or medical cost. We receive no state funding or government assistance. We survive by the donations of caring people, fund raising, and adoption fees.

On February 7, 2009, our founder received Pedigree's national "Shelter Organization Hero" Award as a result of her dedication to animal rescue.
We are always in need of foster homes and volunteers so that we can save lives. Please contact us if you would like to be a member of our rescue family. Please submit your information by completing a foster home/volunteer questionnaire from our website www.twobytworescue.com
