Who and why is Uncle Jacks Cats? Uncle Jacks Cats was established 7 years ago to help care for the many abused, neglected, unwanted and homeless dogs and cats in Glendale, AZ and surrounding areas. We are called a rescue however, we like to think of Uncle Jacks Cats as more of a No Kill sanctuary for our mostly 4 legged friends. We are a non- profit organization made up of a small group of individuals, mostly volunteers, who's ultimate goal is to save the lives of animals that would otherwise be euthanized or forgotten due to lack of care, time, education or space and to find the right family to adopt that animal. Thousands of people a year abandon their animals or have them "put to sleep" due to lack of education. Many people think of animals as dispensable. This is not correct or acceptable thinking. Every animal has a unique personality and intelligence that at times far surpasses that of man-kind yet they are so often discarded as easily as last nights trash. That is why we are here, not only to try and protect and save those animals but to spread the word that things need to change. Thousands of animals are euthanized in AZ alone not because they are sick or violent but simply because there is no room or money to keep up with the amount of animals in need. By getting involved you could help save 100's or even 1,000's of lives. Something as simple as getting your own pet fixed can make an enormous difference.
