Darlynn’s Darlins Inc has been involved in animal rescue/shelter for over a decade. Originally, we thought we would be specific to Potbelly Pig Rescue. We quickly discovered that would not be the case. We are a NO KILL 501(c) 3 charitable organization working to help all animals without the usual species prejudice of many other organizations that confine their work to only certain types of animals. We have grown to understand that ALL non human animals are worthy of our respect and consideration so much of our focus has turned toward sharing and promoting that reality.
We advocate equal respect and consideration for non human beings, by human beings. We seek to educate youth and the general public about the various ways we can all protect, respect, and reconnect with the animal community while at the same time improving our own lives. Through our hands on, no kill rescue/shelter facility, our adoption and educational programs designed for the development of healthy minds and bodies, we intend to improve the life experience for all...at the expense of none.
We have no paid employees and our corporate officers do not receive monetary compensation of any kind. We carry on through our own hard work, donations, and our caring volunteers.
Our organization is wholly about the animals and our work is a labor of love for the animals. We invite you to join with us and help institute a fundamental change for all animals with your donations and/or your time. Please visit our web site for more information and look for the updated site next month.

Additional adoption info
We require an Application, Vet Reference, Family Interview, Home Check, and Post Adoption Home Visits for up to one year. We do not breed animals and as a result, most of the animals available for adoption at this time are not babies. Occasionally, we hear of babies or young animals needing homes and we do facilitate their placement.
There is a fee required to cover the cost for Spay or Neuter and a Notarized Adoption Contract outlining the conditions of the adoption and the environment in which the animal will be kept . The terms of the Adoption Contract also require notification of change of address and return to the shelter of any companion animal adopted if unable to keep due to a change of situation. Darlynn's Darlins Inc will have final approval of any potential rehoming of your choice and the new guardians will have to meet the same requirements as the original guardian. We will conduct occasional home visits for the first year to assure the adoption is working out as expected. Darlynn's Darlins takes their responsibility to all animals seriously and animal guardians should feel free to call the shelter at any time following adoption for ongoing help, advise or troubleshooting any problems or situations that may develop with their new family members.
We have employment responsibilities apart from the shelter operation so please be patient when expecting a return call or e-mail. If it is an emergency, please let us know if you have to leave a message and if it is a medical emergency call your vet immediately. We will make every possible effort to answer your inquiry within 36 hours.
