Happy Tails was founded in July 1993 and became a 501(C)(3) non-profit in October 1993. Happy Tails began with six volunteers and has now grown to over 200 volunteers. HT is an all-volunteer run orgnaization.
For the past eight years, Happy Tails leased a space in a strip shopping center for a cage-free cat adoption center in East Sacramento. Take a look at a panoramic view of the center on HT website at www.happytails.org
HT bought a 3400 sq ft building on Folsom and 61st. St. and will open a large cage-free cat adoption center after the first of the year..
