Girard LifeSaver Rescue

Animal rescue in Girard, GA

We are a Ga. Department of Agriculture licensed rescue in Burke County, Ga. We are a 501(c) 3 charitable organization and are Inc. as a non profit Org. with the State of Ga. Burke County has no animal control and is the largest county in Ga. and the size of RI. There is a great need for so many animals in this county who are abused, abandoned and continuously dumped at local dumpsites. We fight hard for the animals that come into our rescue to treat injuries, and heal them physically and emotionally so that they can find wonderful homes. We rely on donations to save lives and the high cost of medical, feeding, flea meds, heartworm meds, vaccinations, spay/neutering and so many other costs associated with saving lives. We also offer FREE spay/Neuter Vouchers with a FREE rabies vaccine to people in need and without the funds to fix their pets. This is done through grants we apply for to help bring the animal population under control, to save lives and in hopes that one day no animal will have to die because they were born unwanted.

Additional adoption info

Girard Lifesaver Rescue wants to insure that all of our available pets go to great homes! Our adoption process requires first and foremost a Pre-Adoption Application so that we can determine if the pet you have in mind is a good fit and vice-versa. Secondly we ask to do a home visit where we bring along the potential adoptee to meet all members of the family, two legged and four to see if all are compatible for the new addition. The final stage if approved is a signed adoption contract and adoption fee of $125. or less so that we can continue to save, vet, treat and spay neuter other animals needing rescue and homes.
