Story
Autumn is a 5-month-old German Shepherd. She’s a smart, affectionate girl who loves people, walks beautifully on leash, and is house & crate trained! She loves to play & has lots of puppy energy! Autumn is still learning how to feel comfortable around other dogs, so she’ll do best with continued training or as the only pup in the home. She’s eager to please, full of personality, and ready to find her forever family! ##2563781##

Story
Hi there! I’m Patti — a high-energy German Shepherd with serious zoomies and Olympic-level jumping skills. Seriously, I’m as fast as a racehorse and can leap tall buildings (walls) like Superman. If you’ve got a backyard, I hope it has a fence… a tall one! I’m a total lovebug and live for your attention. Pet me once and I’m yours forever. I’ve got the sweetest disposition, and I’m happiest when I’m cuddled up next to you getting some good ol’ ear scritches. I’m housebroken (gold star for me!) and I already know how to sit and shake hands like a proper lady. We’re currently working on walking on a leash and let’s just say: I’ve got enthusiasm, and I might take you for a walk instead of the other way around — but with some training, I’ll be a pro. Toys and treats? Meh, not really my thing. But food? Oh yeah — I’ve got a healthy appetite and never say no to a good meal. I'm looking for a special someone that is experienced with GSDs. If you've got what it takes and you're looking for a fun, affectionate sidekick that has energy for days but can melt into your lap for snuggles, I might just be your girl! ##2380918##

Story
As a child of the 1960’s, I never missed an episode of the original TV series, Star Trek. My favorite character was the half Vulcan, half human Mr. Spock, who constantly battled to keep his human emotions in check. This guy is also named Spock, so I was intrigued to find out how he got his name. My guess is because he has large, erect ears, and excellent “Vulcan” hearing. I was relieved to find out that it was not because he doesn’t show his emotions. No, this sweet boy wears his heart right out on his sleeve. Spock came over to meet my dog and me, and he immediately moved in to make friends with my dog, and did all the right things to show that he was a nice, friendly guy, who had nothing but good intentions. They became a happy pair of friends right away, with never a cross word between them. Spock also turned on the charm with me, and made every effort to show that he was a gentle and affectionate guy who was happy to be invited to live in a home again. Well, it worked. He won me over right away. Spock was adopted as a puppy, and was raised in a home with another dog and a young child where he was loved. He and his canine brother lost their home through no fault of their own, because of an illness in the family. Some dogs would be traumatized by the changes, but I’ve found that Spock has a remarkable ability to bloom where he’s planted. He knows his name, and comes when he’s called. He walks well on a leash, and rides nicely in the car. He knows basic commands like sit and down, and he is house broken and crate trained. He hasn’t spent much time in a crate, though, because he’s so well behaved that he has been loose in my house from his very first day and night here. No scratches or chewing on the furniture, and he immediately knew the difference between dog toys and my things. It was obvious to me that he knew just how to live politely in a home with people and dogs, so he has quickly adapted himself to my home and my life. Spock is a “fun-sized” dog, as he is smaller than most of our dogs, so he is very easy to handle. When he came into our rescue group as a puppy, he looked like a German Shepherd, but as he grew, it became clear that there is something else mixed in. But with his sweet, affectionate, loving temperament, I hope anyone who adopts Spock will love him all the same. Spock is also a little older than most of our other dogs, but you would never know it. He hops right up, runs and plays enthusiastically with my dog, easily jumps in my car, and is very alert and has plenty of energy. If you want a really big dog, and you want to take him places where people say, “What a big, gorgeous German Shepherd!” then Spock may not be what you’re looking for. But if you want to offer a loving home to an easy, sweet, affectionate fellow who really deserves a second chance, then Spock just may be your guy. Whether you are at a point in life where a large dog is getting harder for you, or you’re just looking for a really nice dog that is already trained, and will easily transition into your home, than Spock might just be the one for you. Sound like a match? Then please come meet him. Spock is waiting and hoping for a forever home where he can show you just what a sweetheart he truly is. ##2340290##
